NATIONAL NAIW IS ON THE MOVE!

The National Board of Directors is proud to announce plans to relocate the National Headquarters to a safer location. National NAIW Headquarters will be closed for the move beginning on Friday, January 21, 2005 with plans to reopen on Tuesday, January 25, 2005 at the new temporary location.

As a result of increased crime and a fear of a drop in the property value the Executive Committee at the August Board meeting (as reported in the September 2004 issue of The NAIW Connection newsletter) announced that they had directed Staff to sell the current NAIW location and to look into finding a new location that would provide a safer work environment for the employees of NAIW. After six months of researching potential options and looking at 35 different potential properties the Board of Directors voted to build a new National Headquarters in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The staff will be locating temporarily into leased space in a safer area of Tulsa while the building is under construction. The builder estimates it will take nine to twelve months, depending upon weather, once construction begins to complete the project.
